Our Board

Elaine is a solicitor with more than 20 years experience and has been a partner with SJ Berwin LLP since 1997. She specialises in EU, competition and regulatory law, with a particular expertise in regulated industries such as energy, transport and telecoms/media.

She regularly represents clients before the European Courts, the European Commission, the UK Competition Commission, Office of Fair Trading, BERR and utility regulators. Elaine also heads the firm's Energy and Natural Resources Group (ENRG).

Elaine lives in London and Kent and travels extensively, representing clients and lecturing all over the world. She is a member of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, the Law Society's European Group, City of London Solicitors' Livery Company, a member of the European Aviation Association, a founding member of Women in Media and has recently become a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Fuellers.
