Our goal is to end unemployment and welfare dependency in disadvantaged communities.
We work in targeted deprived communities across England and Scotland, where we can reach those who are most disadvantaged in the jobs market.
Our work covers a number of key areas. The programmes we run get people ready and motivated to work and equip participants with the vocational and basic skills and qualifications that local employers want:
Back to Work
Tomorrow's People Employment Advisers support and mentor long-term unemployed adults on a one-to-one basis to help them into sustainable jobs.
Support for young people
Young people on the margins of society develop initiative, confidence and responsibility by taking part in community challenges, opening doors to employment, education and training.
Health and work
Our Employment Advisers work directly in GP surgeries and health centres with patients who have been signed off work through ill health to get them back into suitable work.
Innovation
Getting families into work
A new way of working with inter-generational workless families to transform their prospects.
Social enterprise
The Kennington Cross Flower Stall is a business that trades for profit, but at the same time provides the young people from our Southwark project who run it with new skills and work experience, helping them build their CVs as a step to further employment. Tomorrow's People is now developing an entire enterprise community in Gosport. Known as The Junction, it will provide opportunities for ex-offenders to gain skills needed in the local jobs market and support their full rehabilitation to make a new life in the community.
