Debbie Scott is Chief Executive of Tomorrow's People, a national employment charity that works in some of the most deprived communities around the UK.
Debbie has been with Tomorrow's People since it was founded in 1984. She has imbued the charity with her enthusiasm and 'nothing is impossible' attitude.
Debbie has led the charity through a period of continuous development as it has broadened its scope into new areas such as youth unemployment, intergenerational worklessness and gang culture. Since the charity was founded, it has helped over 440,000 people on their journey back to work.
Debbie is a leading thinker in the Welfare to Work sector and her advice is sought by many think tanks and advisory boards. She was Deputy Chair of the Social Justice Policy Group, during which time they published the hugely influential documents "Breakdown Britain" and "Breakthrough Britain".
Debbie is an Ambassador for Make Justice Work, which looks to replace ineffective short-term prison sentences with community work. Debbie is a founder member of the Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) and was its first Chair.
Debbie has also been a member of the Advisory Board for the International Centre for Drugs Policy (ICPD), the CBI's Employment Advisory Group and was a member of The Voluntary & Community Sector Partnership Board (DCLG) until November 2011. Her current memberships are:

Debbie was named Charity Principal of the Year at the UK Charity Awards 2005 for her outstanding leadership.
In August 2007, Debbie was appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant of East Sussex.
In January 2008, Debbie was awarded an OBE in the Queen's New Year's Honours for services to the unemployed.
In July 2010 Debbie was ennobled and took her seat in the House of Lords as The Baroness Stedman-Scott of Rolvenden.
