Tomorrow's People launches free recruitment service to Bristol employers

National employment charity Tomorrow's People will launch its free recruitment service to local businesses at a breakfast event on February 24th at Brasserie Blanc, Bakers& Cutlers' Hall, central Bristol.

Tomorrow's People is responding to the difficult economic environment by providing an innovative new service in partnership with local business to help companies reduce recruitment costs. Working Communities is a free service which matches suitable, job-ready candidates to existing job vacancies. Bristol employers who are keen to fill positions with skilled and enthusiastic people from the local community can find out more about the Tomorrow's People free recruitment service by contacting Russell Cowan or David Bishop on 0117 924 6815.

Tomorrow's People has been successfully providing employment services in Bristol for over 13 years. As a result, it has built strong relationships with local employers who use the charity to fill vacancies with job-ready candidates from the local community. Tomorrow's People has a reputation for understanding an employer's business requirements and providing suitable, job-ready candidates. This saves local companies both advertising and recruitment costs, as well as the time reviewing CVs and interviewing potentially unsuitable candidates.

The effectiveness of placements is reinforced because Tomorrow's People provides on-going in-work support for both the candidate and the employer. 76% of the people the Charity helps into work are still in employment after 12 months. The in-work support service helps to reduce disruption when new staff join and increases the effectiveness of training and other activity.

According to the 2008 Recruitment Retention & Turnover Survey from the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, the average recruitment cost of filling a vacancy is £4,667 per employee.

Tomorrow's People is grateful to Brasserie Blanc for their generous support of the project in donating the venue and catering for the event.
